Melville Edward Johnson II 12/15/1948 – 1/2/2019
Melville Edward Johnson II was born in Orlando Florida to Carlye Venetta Hendry and Edward Augustus Johnson in Orlando, Florida on December 15, 1948. He was part of the graduating class of 1966 of Winter Park High School, Florida and attended La Grange University in Georgia. He was owner of Mel Johnson’s Flower Shop, Orlando, Florida until the late 1980’s. Mel is survived by Claudia Ann Pursel Johnson, wife of 24 years, his daughter Jennifer Johnson Burnett, her husband Todd, children Carlee and Riley Burnett; son Melville Edward Johnson III, his wife Amy, and daughter Emmalyn Johnson; step-daughter Aundrea Thomas Brown, her husband Zac, children Adelyn and Kolton Brown; step-daughter Paige Nicole Thomas; step-daughter Claire Ann Thomas Houck, her husband Ryan, children Charlotte and Harper Houck; brother Robert Johnson, and his wife Patricia. Predeceased daughter Betsy Lee Johnson, April 6, 1988 Mel loved life and enjoyed his children, and grandchildren, family, friends, fishing, and gardening.
